Date	Description
September 4, 2009	First day Elections Department may accept an application for a ballot by mail.
October 5, 2009	Last day to register to vote. (Voter Registration applications must be received or clearly postmarked by this date.)
October 19, 2009	First day of in-person early voting.
October 27, 2009	Last day Elections Department may accept an application for a ballot by mail. (Must be received by this date, not merely postmarked)
October 30, 2009	Last day of in-person early voting.
November 3, 2009	ELECTION DAY (polls open 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM)
November 9, 2009	Last day Elections Department may receive absentee ballots sent from outside the United States (must have been placed in the mail by Election Day).
